Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use A-dams Add-ons websites, ServiceM8 add-ons, newsletters, and support channels — and how we use it.

Last updated: 14 July 2026

Who we are

A-dams Add-ons (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides ServiceM8-related add-ons, tools, and support materials. This website is the central hub for our products, including privacy and support information used in ServiceM8 listings and other app stores.

For privacy requests, contact us via Support or WhatsApp at +44 7440 737918.

Scope

This policy covers:

  • This website (add-on catalog, ideas board, support, and legal pages)
  • Newsletter and product update emails
  • Contact, suggestion, and error-report forms
  • Downloads that require an email address
  • Live chat (Smartsupp) and payment links (Stripe), where used
  • ServiceM8 add-ons and related tools that link to this privacy policy

Individual add-ons may process additional ServiceM8 job or account data as needed to provide their features. Where an add-on has product-specific data practices, those will be described in that product’s listing or documentation and still fall under this overall policy unless stated otherwise.

Data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details — name, email address, phone number, and message content when you contact us, subscribe, request a download, or submit an idea
  • Support content — bug reports, suggestions, and related screenshots or descriptions you send
  • Usage preferences — limited browser storage such as newsletter popup dismissal and idea voting markers stored locally on your device
  • Payment information — processed by Stripe when you purchase; we do not store full card details on our servers
  • Chat data — messages and metadata if you use live chat (Smartsupp)
  • Technical data — standard server/security logs that may include IP address, browser type, and timestamps
  • ServiceM8-related data — if an add-on connects to your ServiceM8 account, it may access job, client, staff, or account information you authorize through ServiceM8, solely to provide that add-on’s features

How we use your data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our websites and add-ons
  • Respond to support requests, enquiries, and suggestions
  • Send newsletters or product updates you asked for
  • Deliver downloadable files and related notices
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Operate community features such as the ideas board
  • Meet legal, security, and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use ServiceM8 customer data obtained through add-ons for unrelated marketing.

Legal bases (UK GDPR / GDPR)

Where UK/EU data protection law applies, we rely on:

  • Contract — to provide the services or downloads you request
  • Legitimate interests — to improve products, secure our systems, and respond to business enquiries
  • Consent — for optional newsletters and similar marketing, where required
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain records or respond to lawful requests

Processors and third parties

We use trusted providers to operate our services, including:

  • Google Firebase — hosting, database, and related backend services
  • Postmark — transactional and newsletter email delivery
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Smartsupp — live chat (when enabled on the site)
  • ServiceM8 — when an add-on connects to your ServiceM8 account

These providers process data on our instructions and under their own privacy terms. Data may be processed outside the UK/EEA with appropriate safeguards where required.

Cookies and local storage

We use limited browser storage for essential site behaviour (for example, remembering that you dismissed the newsletter prompt, or that you already voted on an idea). Live chat and payment widgets may set their own cookies.

You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. Doing so may reset preferences such as newsletter prompts or vote markers.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, while you remain subscribed, while a support matter is open, or as required for legal and accounting records. You can ask us to delete data we control subject to those obligations.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion or restriction
  • Object to certain processing
  • Withdraw consent (for example, unsubscribe from emails)
  • Data portability, where applicable

To exercise these rights, contact us via Support. Newsletter subscribers can also use the unsubscribe link in our emails.

Children

Our services are intended for businesses and adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of our sites or add-ons after an update means you accept the revised policy, unless applicable law requires additional consent.
